Each year we are looking to grow the festival and attract events that will appeal to all ages within the family market. We begin the 2013 festival with the launch at Surfers Eye the Art & Photographic Exhibition taking place 7pm on Friday 20th September in the Coastgaurd station. The unveiling of Molly, our seaweed doll will also take place at the Coastgaurd station and she will then be on display outside Oceanics Surf School for the week.
This week is all about family fun with entertainment and stalls, including Surf Competition, the Market on Sunday and, of course, the Michaelmas Parade.
There is also plenty of entertainment, music and specials in the pubs and restaurants around Tramore during the week, and many local businesses take part.
There is the return of many of the events and exhibitions from last year such as surfing, eco walks, seaweed & coastal talks, dog shows, festival menus, markets, evening entertainment, art, history & photographic exhibitions and much much more. There is something for everyone and plenty of new entertainment.
Thanks to all the support we have had, the Surf and Sea festival has turned into a major annual event for Tramore town. We hope this year will be even bigger and better.
